Carry the Joy of Jesus: Make a Ripple

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Have a great Labor Day weekend!

Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend. I am compiling options for the eighth grade trip and hope to have the list to you on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Janet Papke has been busy sending me ideas, and I am driving the travel agent nuts with plans and alternate plans…again, hope to have something to you at the beginning of next week.

We have had a productive, positive first week of school. To be totally honest, I'm thrilled with this class. They are working hard, well behaved, and lots of fun…what more could a teacher ask for, really?

Flipped has not appeared in the theaters yet, so our plans to go to the movies on Friday may have to be put off.

Good news! We were able to get tickets to the Diary of Anne Frank on Monday, October 18 at 10 A.M., Romeo and Juliet on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., and The Secret Life of Bees, on Tuesday, March 22 at 1:00 P.M. I will be sending home a permission slip for all three and a request for $15 to cover the cost of all three. I also ordered four adult tickets, in addition to mine, at $10 a piece, for each play. I think we can get them there in five cars. If you would like to chaperone any of these trips, and know now, let me know on the permission slip. Otherwise we will figure out drivers closer to each event. Thank you.
