Carry the Joy of Jesus: Make a Ripple

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20

martes: Day one of the MEAP is done.

MEAP tests began today, Tuesday, October 12. Please encourage your students to eat a good breakfast and to get to bed early each night until the MEAP is over next week. I will try to control myself, so they will not have too much homework. J We have arranged for students to have nutritious snacks each day before the MEAP and at breaks. If your student would like something other than what we have, however, they are welcome to bring their own snack.

Thank you so much for sending in your deposits for the eighth grade trip or for letting me know when the deposits will arrive. The number of travelers has increased. At present we have 17 students and 20 chaperones. When I have the names of everyone going, I will have the refigured cost of the trip, but it will be less than the last amount I sent home.

I sent home a permission slip today for the October 18 trip to Macomb Center for the Performing Arts to see The Diary of Anne Frank. (See below)

Have a great week in the Lord,

Sally Buss

Good news! We were able to get tickets to the Diary of Anne Frank on Monday, October 18 at 10 A.M., Romeo and Juliet on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., and The Secret Life of Bees, on Tuesday, March 22 at 1:00 P.M. I will be sending home a permission slip for all three and a request for $15 to cover the cost of all three. I also ordered four adult tickets, in addition to mine, at $10 a piece, for each play. I think we can get them there in five cars. If you would like to chaperone any of these trips, and know now, let me know on the permission slip. Otherwise, we will figure out drivers closer to each event. Thank you.

*** Please bring in your signed midterm and permission slip for the field trip on Monday.

ALSO, go to bed early and get lots of sleep. BRING A SHARP PENCIL AND YELLOW HIGHLIGHTER…and EAT A NUTRICIOUS BREAKFAST!  Thanks.

Please bring hand sanitizer for hygiene kits for Family of God ministry!  Each grade has a different assignment.
