Carry the Joy of Jesus: Make a Ripple

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20

Handbells plays at 8:00 A.M., Sunday. Be here by 7:30 :)! No dress down day for 7th and 8th Monday.

This is just another reminder the next $300 deposit for the trip to NYC was due on Monday. You were notified of the amount and due date back in early January, and I sent another bill home Tuesday (2/8/11). Thank you if you who have already taken care of this, and if you are unable to pay at this time, please contact me and I will cover your second deposit with school funds, until you can get it paid. Thank you for your attention to this manner. Call me if you have questions.

After discussing it with the school office, if you would like to make a dinner for the Napiers, please sign up on a calendar in the school office. That way they will not be overloaded at any one time, and the food will be spread across a longer period of time. If you have any questions call Sarah or Sandy in the school office. There are plenty of days open.

Congratulations, Kyle and Trina for finishing first and second, respectively, in the National Geographic Geography Bee Friday. Kyle will represent Trinity at the state level. Great job, Kyle! Congratulations to Taylor Harder and Val Hallberg for winning first and second place in the Trinity Spelling Bee, respectively. Taylor will represent us in the Regional Meet on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Macomb Center. Go Taylor!

Again, thank you all for your kind wishes and gifts for Christmas and the New Year. I am always grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness. Blessings, for a happy, healthy New Year.

The number of travelers to New York City has decreased to 37. At present we have 17 students and 20 chaperones. The price of the trip is $784.30. I know that all of you have heard about the passing of Joe’s dad, Joe Napier. We had an unusual day on Tuesday, one I will never forget. Your children mourned, prayed, laughed and cried as we remembered Joe’s dad, our friend. You would have been moved at their mature handling of this very difficult situation. Joe’s funeral will be at Trinity at 11:00 Monday. The seventh and eighth grades will attend the funeral. Visitation is at Vicks in Mt. Clemens on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00. Please keep Jennifer, Kayla, and Joe in your prayers as they go through this very difficult time.

Additionally, the kids would like to do something to help, and I proposed we each bring a food item that we could deliver next week to help the family with meals for a few days. I will talk to Jennifer and find out if they have a freezer and what would be most useful.

Parents, if we have the snow storm of the decade as predicted Tuesday night, please encourage students to read the blog before they return to school. Stay safe, everyone!
